Remembering

Today would have been dad's 72nd birthday.

So as has been our tradition the last couple of years we decided to organise a dinner - easier said than done.

This year the 27th and 30th fell either side of the weekend - making it that bit more difficult for all of us to be available at the same time.

We eventually decided on sunday night (last night) at the Manningham. The Manningham used to be the Melbourne home of the Brisbane Lions - and somewhere dad liked to go to see all the old Fitzroy memorabilia.

So we all gathered at the manningham last night: Mum, tapsister, tappingbetty, son_of_royboy, and be_there_with. Bollockspants lives in England so he was there with us in spirit only.

It was a good evening and we got to relive embarrassing family moments and stories.

Our (small) winnings on the pokies are about to be donated to petermac in dad's name, along with the 'birthday' money.

Next family event ArchieArchie's first birthday...
